Restaurant Acanto – Milan - Dining with Royalty

Every city has one restaurant known as the failsafe for the most important occasions. The Acanto is the place in Milan. When the royal families, from all over the world, arrive in Milan, they stay at the Principe di Savoia. The hotel has to be able to offer that highest of quality in dining facilities. Constantly innovating and acquiring the best Italian talent for the kitchen, the menu’ is offers traditional Meneghina (from Milan) cuisine while capable of preparing just about any dish that their clients may desire.

The restaurant also caters to the cultural traditions of their clients with theme based evenings on a regular basis. During one of our latest visits the hotel had prepared a Middle Eastern night complete with veils, live music, and belly dancers.

The service is top notch, present but not intruding, and should you desire they will leave you completely alone allowing you to discuss freely whatever business you may have at hand.
The price is not cheap, but is comparable to the quality of food and service. If you have thought about visiting the Mulino in New York, save some money and visit the Acanto in Milan. If you ever wanted to eat like a king, this is the place, you may even find a king or prince at the table next to you.

Would love to eat there or indeed stay there, but it is very expensive. My uncle is a taxi driver in Milan and most days works from there - he's picked up lots of famous footballers and celebrities.

Chickybabe- It is a destination to keep in your black book.
Act- Yes, it is expensive and exclusive, footballers, kings & queens, stars, investment bankers are all part of the normal clientelle. Relatively speaking it is not as expensive as say Mulino in New York and is significantly better. If you are going to go top line then save your money on the imitation and go for the real thing!
