Festa Nazionale del Pane – Italian National Bread Day

For the fourth consecutive year on May 25th the bakeries all across Italy will be open to the public. Each baker will present local breads and methods of preparation. The provincial associations have prepared packages of products for your kitchen and numerous manifestations in the plazas across the country.

This is a unique opportunity to see how bread is made and the type of structures that are used. Secrets about baking, steam ovens, and forming breads are all part of the demonstrations. Few can resist the inviting smell of freshly baked bread. This is an interesting event, even the non-baker; the variety of breads presented to the public will be impressive.
