Gianfranco Ferre’ – Women’s Fashion Fall/Winter 2007/2008

Ferre’ chose deep toned, base colors mixed with precious metal like strands to create mix and match pieces that will easily combine, giving a touch of exclusivity, with just about any other piece that may be hanging in the closet.

Part of the line picks up the geometric designs and the mantello from the early 80s. Intuitively one would think that these shapes would hide the sensuous lines but Ferre’ effortlessly goes from the wide topped triangle to a form hugging hourglass center to then slide again to a flat or cylinder around the hips elongating the legs.

The slacks are either veiled and flowing chiffon like or snug elastic and leather. These cuts are combined with various embroidered or printed patterns.

One set brings back the parachute pockets for the outdoorsy look. This is not something I like but Raffaella will most likely want one of these. Not that she will put anything in the zipper closed pockets but the idea of an extra purse (without having to carry one) seems to be too enticing to pass up.

Look terrific. Kind of Scandinavian looks with the furs?
Btw: I'm going to Milan in the beginning of November, so maybe I can see more there :-)
